Dave Pflieger Silver Airways

Dave Pflieger currently serves as the CEO of Silver Airways, a regional airline based out of Florida that operates nearly 200 flights a day from 40 different locations. Silver Airways’ ports include Florida, the Bahamas, Ohio, New York, Georgia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

Silver is a young airline. It was founded on December 15th, 2011 and is currently run by the Chicago investment firm, Victory Park Capital. Their colors are silver and charcoal gray to emphasize the airline’s values of quality, professionalism, trust, and vibrancy. They also use fuchsia to adds vibrancy and helps the airplanes stand out in the many different climates they fly in. The logo was developed to resemble a spinning propeller blade like the ones used on the aircrafts themselves.

Dave Pflieger and the Silver Airways team primarily use the Saab 340Bplus aircraft.  The plan seats 34 people and is one of the most advanced turboprop aircraft used by airlines.  These Saab aircraft feature amazing fuel economy, comfortable seating, and amazing in cabin storage to help provide an amazing flying experience.  Silver Airways owns 25 of these Saab planes, the largest fleet in the US.

Silver Airways has a number of popular routes.  They fly to the Bahamas more than any other airline in the US.  Silver also operated several EAS (Essential Air Service) routes from Cleveland, OH to smaller communities in New York, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

Silver Airways headquarters are located in Florida at the Hollywood/ Ft. Lauderdale International Airport.

Dave Pflieger

Dave Pflieger is currently the CEO of Island Air and previously the President and CEO of Silver Airways. Previously, Dave Pflieger was the CEO & Managing Director of Air Pacific (later Fiji Airways). Before joining Air Pacific, Mr. Pflieger was a Founding Officer and Senior Vice President at Virgin America from 2004 to 2010.
